bjc, I'd imagine just the GF3 will be needed for something like that. A hefty amount of RAM, and a decent CPU will get the job done. I have a feeling CPU dependancy won't be a big issue, since everything will be handled through the graphics card.

<< mmmm macs are looking appealing now that they come with geforce3 and dvd burners. Not to mention really fast rc5 performance. >>

Huh?! What did I miss between tuesday and yesterday? I was on vacation for a few days without a computer...someone clue me in please (a PM would be nice- I don't want to check back in this thread- it's gonna be friggin enormous).

Thanks.

Good lord I just watched that movie...HOLY FSCK!

The Geforce3 will be available on the Mac first available in late march in build to order machines from customers or resellers for $600. Damn...that thing looks f'ing amazing...I've never said that about anything nVidia- and I know people here can vouch for that. ;) It has 57 million transistors and pushes 76 gigaflops.

Hot diggity damn...

Once the GeForce3 hits $300 in a few months...I'll be getting it! :Q OMG...I feel so...cheap. ;) heh, well, expensive actually.

I'll get it AFTER Doom3 has came out and I decide it just doesn't play well enough on my GF2 GTS.

THen again, I might just wait for the next Generation card... I like to at least skip one generation. ;)

Going from a TNT1 to a GeForce2 GTS was a HUGE leap for me. I'd had to start taking baby steps...
