New domain, now file permissions are screwed up

Okay, we got a new server and migrated everyone over to the new domain. All the files were moved from the old nt4.0 PDC to the new SBS 2003 DC. Now when I open files from the shared folders, they can only open in read only mode. I can then 'save as' the file to another, but this would be a pain to replicate all of our files. Is there some way I can take ownership of the whole share and reset the permissions so users in the new domain can have full access to the files??
