New DIY computer builder looking for book to help build first PC

I would like to learn how to build a couple of PCs for my grandsons. Putting things together is not a problem for me, it's what do you do after you put all the parts together and turn on the power for the first time. I have never loaded a BIOS or drivers outside of AMD's drivers for thier video cards. So a book that explaines what to do first and then the next step and so on would be of big help to me. Also a section on trouble shooting, if things don't work the first time, would be good too. Thanks for any help you can give.
