New DIMES issues

So I'm having more problems with DIMES. One three systems so far the box came up to automatically update DIMES. I click yes and all of a sudden DIMES quits working, the taskbar icon disappears and won't start. Apparently it has something to do with java too as this goes down with it and won't even run anymore. I've reinstalled both programs to no avail. Kind of weird but consistent on all machines which are win boxes with different hardware configurations.

Reinstalled DIMES yet again and got it to work finally. I wouldn't do the auto update if I were you guys though.

yeah, thats on my "to do" list today. i had the same problem with mine. i can't get it tostart anymore. and my jave is updated and all. i'll re-install today.

autoupdates worked ok for me, going from 4.2 to 4.3. Thought I had a problem, seemed to lock up, but that was just because the OK prompt was hidden behind some other windows. Darn multitasking.

I still have had an XP Pro client just quit on it own with the 4.2 client. I'll see how it goes with the 4.3 client.

well, re-install seemed to work.

it was odd. when i did the auto update it seemed update ok, just never would start.

ahh well, its back and running.

My client stopped starting a few months ago, but I'm nearly certain I had done nothing to make it not start. I reinstalled it and it worked fine (except for the fact that I coulnd't connect to any servers cause UDP was blocked for me). I'm also working fine after the update, especially now that they're using ICMP again.
