New Diablo Update

I'm P'Oed that the no cd crack doesn't work anymore on bnet. Because of all the obnoxious copy protection I have to risk my original CD everytime I want to play. Have never got a clone CD copy to work right.

It frequently takes me 15 minutes or more to be able to successfully load D2 off of my original disc. Very frustrating. Even bought a new CD reader (have tried a total of 3).

No reason whatsoever for copy protection like this on a game that also has unique CD key number system.


I am happy though that the dupes are being eliminated. IMO, they should eliminate all dupes-the current system leaves one duplicated copy apparently-to protect someone who legitamitely traded for it.


 
Yeah, I know, my CDRom drive tears up cds like no tomorrow. I'm too scared to even push the button to open the tray! :Q

i hope tho it doesnt screw up and delete my 3 perfects of each type of gem...i know i know, i just like em...

but supposedly its only uniques and rares?? nothing else is scanned?
 
AFAIK, it uses random check sum numbers attached to items, so if you have two identical uniques that are legit, no problem.
