New Diablo 3 video

Interesting.

I really hope this game is as good as the hype of 10 years of waiting has built in me.

I'm sure it will be. SC2 exceeded my expectations and the more I see of D3 the more impressed I am. Going to take a week of vacation and lock myself in when it comes out.

Considering SC2 was the same as SC1 which to me was average, then D3 should be the same as D2 which I thoroughly enjoyed... once I got dialup internet 🙂

I am refusing to watch D3 trailers (beside the first one I saw with the Monk-type character) or read up on it, just to see if I can completely avoid the hype and play it as a fresh new game, not something that I am expecting to be better than one of the best PC games to date.

Well luckily they really haven't said much about Diablo 3 at all. I believe the last info release prior to this video was some pics of the female monk back in the beginning of February.

yea i think that was that last bit of info in Feb. we will most likely get some more info and vids from blizzcon this year as well

Who are you fooling? Bone Wall + Bone Spirits/Spears FTW

this FTW. the one i had was leveled before they made some of the talent changes so he had points where he shouldn't have, was silly OP. only thing more OP was my hammerdin

Is it jsut me or does that video seem pretty "finalized" The artwork, the setting, the interactions etc etc... Everything I have seen of this game makes me think it may be further along that we expect?

Another interesting bit of info from Gamescon is that we will have a persistent caravan traveling around with us now. I hope they don't completely remove act towns because of this. It was nice interacting with locally flavored NPC's.

I thought the same but it's still Blizzard we're talking about here. I'd be surprised to see this game launch before 2012.

It was a sad day when my level 88 hardcore necro died.

By best I didn't mean most powerful, I meant most fun. 🙂

I thoroughly enjoyed moving around and watching my personal army crush everything else, like an evil warlord.

Man, this makes me miss D2, but it just looks so bad on my 24" monitor at 800x600 or whatever the pitiful max resolution is.

I stopped playing for 3 reasons:

1) Unregulated ladder duping and as a result nearly inaccessible upper levels of trading. I have a feeling some of the rune words were never made legitimately just based on drop rate, though it may have been possible with a season of botting.
2) Lack of a higher resolution. The graphics were bad, but doable even only you could increase the depth. Played Titan Quest for a while.
3) Drop mechanics. Everybody rushing to pick up Baal drops when the bot runner already got the best stuff wasn't helping anyone ... except the bot runner.

Ha - this brings back memories of my friends character 'Lagromancer'. His weapon? Raise so many undead soldiers it would cause insane lag for everyone in that game

I know it sounds horrible, up until the last patch I had 2 bots running pretty much every day for several months.

I can't wait for this myself. I definitely enjoyed playing it at the last two Blizzcons. Unfortunately, I won't attending this year. Maybe they'll reveal more classes.

EVE will have to entertain me in the meantime.

It hurts, I can't wait for Diablo III, but I must say that it was about damn time that they revealed new things of it. It will hopefully make it somewhere in 2012.

I can watch any trailer and read about it and not worry about hype because I force myself to believe it will suck. I played both Diablos for years. I don't like any of the other Blizzard games and find them at best average if not completely terrible. Aside from Diablo, they were all copies of past games. So I harbor a belief that Blizzard must ultimately fail at Diablo. Hype cannot penetrate my dislike for Blizzard.

Disappointing video, about the only thing interesting is upgrading the merchant, everything else has been done by every F2P Asian MMO.
