Sweet. I've been waiting for the DFI NF3 250 Sck754 board since I first saw a picture of one, and that was from maybe back in 2003. At this point I won't really get excited until I can buy one, which is still weeks off, if all goes according to the rumors. It is funny, but I was all ready to order an 8KDA3J, but they've been out of stock of late. Now I guess I'll wait for the DFI board. If I wait long enough, it will be winter, and I will probably end up buying skis instead. Then I can wait for NF4...

I would also love to see a 939 NF3 250 board from DFI.

are the socket A vs opteron/AMD64 mounting holes really different? no way of using a socket A cooler in a newer system?

Can't believe that board manages those insane speeds stock  Also, according to that thread don't get too excited because all those tweaks won't show in the shipped BIOS, maybe the ES one will be floating around? There seems to be some confusion about the (T)RAS of 0 actually being 0, so is it? Does anyone even know?

IThe TRAS thing is weird. I'm also surprised hardly anyone is excited about this. I was also pretty solid on getting the Epox 8KDA3j, but I've been waiting for Epox to release their next bios revision that adds mobile support. Well, I can hope. This DFI board would be a much better alternative for me, though. I really like the 3.1v dimm option, if it can be had. The Epox board only allows for 2.8v or so, which is weak for me. My memory supports up to 3.1v on WARRANTY :)

He said there might not be some of those options coming with the shipping bios, but I have faith that we'll see most of them. At least DFI will release some offering with all of the options. I read more pages in that thread, and it seems like TRAS 0 is actually 0, and not 5, or 10. Weird. Also, CAS 1.5?

dfi plans on making a socket 939 lanparty board, but they never seem to hit the deadlines. the socket 754 board was supposed to come out a while ago, well, a lanparty board at least.

Yeah, this board looks awesome. If the production model offers sweet voltage options like the test version, it should rock. I am tired of volt modding to get 3.0v+ vdimm and over 1.8v vcore.

Holy crap... that thing looks insane. Hopefully it will ship with all of those options intact. That would be amazing.

DFI comes though again:)

they do not release new bioses very regularly

If it ain't broke, don't fix it;)

I remember playing the NF7s "which bios is better" games, with over 24 released bioses...

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with the bios, that's why I am not upgrading mine on my infinity NFII ULTRA.

New bios isnt always better.

true new doesn't mean better...

but what if the bios doesn't support mobile A64's and DFi decides to not release a bios for 6 months???

bioses are for compatibility as well...

what if shipping bios doesn't support the sempron? and dfi doesn't release a bios for 6 months???

your'e right.. new doesn't mean better but new does = better support for newer hardware (in general)... you have to remember that

holy mothereffing!! Thats one sweet board. What I hope will be in the shipping bios is the voltage options. VCORE up to 2.1 volts VDIMM up to 3.1? That will be any overclockers dream! Man! Hope they'll do the same on a nFORCE 4 board :D

According to DFI's website.

socket 754 = NF3-250 Infinity
socket 939 = NF3-250 Lanparty

After all the disappointments so far with NF3-250 mobos -- and the ASUS K8N-E was a real letdown -- I can't wait for the new Infinity.

In light of the latest D3 review, why Gurus like these guys are including SiSuck bandwidth scores is beyond me
