new device called Jungo Windriver

In XP, in my Device Manager, I have a new driver called Jungo, then Windrive.

No idea when it got installed, but what is it?

A quick search shows it could also be a driver for an ATI Remote Wonder if you have/had one of those on this pc.

If your computer is working OK, why worry about it? I've caused myself more headaches with XP when I was specifically trying to make it run faster or better by uninstalling stuff I knew nothing about.

I think he is posting here in the forums so that he won't do that.

HI Dbarton,

I am an employee from Jungo Connectivity Ltd. the producer of WinDriver.

WinDriver is a driver development toolkit for custom USB/PCI drivers, it is architectured to install 2 drivers for one device WinDriver kernel driver and the device specific entry. Which not always are close in the device manager. WinDriver is used by many USB/PCI device manufacturers, If you have installed WinDriver with a USB/PCI device then it is necessary, you may contact the hardware manufacturer for further support.

For testing I recommend just disabling WinDriver and see if a recently PCI/USB device stops working.

Best Regards, / Mit freundlichen Grüßen
