Am I the only one who had to click on this thread just to figure out what "DE:HR" or "IW" stood for?

Ew. What an insult to the original.

Slick: No, I had no idea what DE:HR was either.

I don't know what else you could expect from a modern multi-platform game. It could be decent if they don't decide to make it on rails.

That looks pretty good to me. The action was a bit over the top,.. but it was a trailer so i'll take that with a bit of reservation till I see the final product.

I expect more from the graphics though.

Meh. I loved Deus Ex but this game leaves me cold. Also the technology is amazing! They seem to have regressed in the year 2053 compared to the 2020's this game is set in.

Cloaking fields, super advanced robots, ability to see through walls, Detroit's skyline growing by tenfold with 5000 feet buildings in a city that looks to have 50 million...all within 17 years.

Yeah, that's the main problem I see - the tech they're running around would make a fully augmented JCD jealous, to say nothing of poor Gunter who couldn't even get a head gun.

That said, it will be hard pressed to be as bad as IW was.

Boy, it does look like IW. It does however, look like they've implemented stealth again. Not the actual cloaking (while that helps) but specifically the sneaking which alot of people enjoy. Keep your eye on that because there are not near as many first person sneakers as there used to be (the System Shocks, Thief Series, Deus Ex, Hitman)...

The yellow highlight box around shit makes it look so corny. I think that is my biggest annoyance. I'm trying to not be negative, but very few things in that trailer gave me a positive vibe.

For some reason I feel the need to clarify my point: THAT YELLOW HIGHLIGHT BOX IS RETARDED.

When features are that asinine, they deserve such clarification.

God that voice was horrible. Like they took Christian Bale's batman voice and then took all the edge out of it. Sounds like he's on a breathing tube while he talks.

From reading on the official forums, it appears the radar is not optional. A moderator trying to make the argument for third person stealth, even went on to say the radar makes up for the lack of lean keys if you want to use first person stealth...

I really hope no one at EM thinks this way, though I wouldn't be surprised if they were stupid enough to.

You should have the option and be rewarded for not picking a fight. It kind of defeats the whole point of being a ub3r futuristic spy and all the sneaking around you do if people know that you were there because you left a trail of dead bodies on your way out. The end of that video looks like a scripted fight that can't be avoided but I hope that I am wrong in this case. Or at least I hope it makes sense that the fight at the end of that clip makes sense and has consequences that relate to the info you were sent to get.
