New Destiny trailer, The Moon

That game....can't wait. Looks absolutely stunning too. Sadly this is one of those games that just screams out for a PC release.

Hopefully we get more info about the pre-order beta. I've already pre-ordered this through gamestop for PS4.

agree I preordered it once i was able to after E3 but yea i really wish it was coming to the PC
 
yeah this does look good and not like a cookie cutter fps game that we've been seeing the past few years for the majority of fps games. i hope insomniac makes resistance 4 on ps4 too. that is one of the few fps single player games that ive really enjoyed.
 
While I was watching the trailer, I was going...this just looks like another Halo....lo and behold...that's exactly what it is, with CoD thrown in. Did not look all that "non cookie cutter". Might be good though, who knows.

pfft yeah right...it looks absolutely nothing like halo. Aside from the fact that it's an FPS on a console with an alien race.

I think you have your blinders on. There are plenty of FPS out there with alien races that don't look like Halo. This isn't one of them. But I mean it makes sense, it's by the guys who did Halo....

Not compared to anything, I'm just not seeing anything that's exciting. What they've shown so far is just shoot and jump, shoot and jump, that's it. It makes for a very boring trailer. I remember the E3 demo was pretty much the same, the shooting mechanics looked bland and didn't seem to bring anything new or at least exciting to the table.

Again new and exciting as compared to what? I just want a frame of reference as to which fps games you find looks more exciting from the trailer. Battlefield 4, cod ghosts? You can't really say it looks boring unless you actually make a comparison to another game you find not boring and honestly, I think bungie knows what they are doing and it will be fantastic. I have never hidden the fact that I am a huge fan of bungie and their work though.

They showed new stuff...melee powerups, powering up a weapon using some power as well using some energy field generates by the character.

No I just think you are inherently bias. If this was only on PC I bet you'd have a different attitude toward it. I don't see anything aside from aliens, fps mechanics, and the crosshairs that even resemble halo in a cursory way. There is especially nothing in this particular trailer that says "hey guys we made halo if you liked that then you'll like this spiritual successor".

As I said above they even showed energy field powerups for melee combat and using the energy to power up a weapon as well. Something that wasn't in any halo game.

I guess we'll just have to stop here because I don't see why I should compare it to something else. If it looks boring, it looks boring. This particular trailer only shows characters running and shooting and occasionally doing some kind of jump attack that looks out of place in a shooter. The graphics look great in the scenes showing the environment but during the "action" parts, it's very much "meh".

I guess all in all, I haven't seen any reason why I should be excited about this game. It's not amazing graphically, it's not intriguing with new gameplay, it's not giving me any "wow" moments.

it does share some similar art and design aspects from Halo, char movement some wep models and such, certian environments look similar and such but thats to be expected as its the same team making the game and. some overlap/ reuse of things isnt a bad thing

its most likely running on the same engine that has simply been updated/tweaked

How can you call something boring if you have nothing that you can say is not boring to directly compare to? Everything would just be boring at that point. I am wondering what is considered not boring in this case.

I can understand not feeling it but to outright call a game boring from a trailer, want to know what trailer is exciting?

because there is no rule stating that you must state what you like when calling something boring. it is just a stupid thing to say.

watching ballet is boring to me. does that mean i have to now mention another type of dancing that i do enjoy for my opinion to be valid?

watching nascar is boring to me. does that mean i have to now mention another type of racing that i enjoy for that opinion to also be valid?

im not a PC master race bastard, i game more on my PS3 than anything currently
 
amazon sent me my beta code for this game this morning, says the beta will start in early 2014
has liunks to the bungie page to creat and acnt and all that
