New Dell 2209WA vs LG L246WP-BN (Refurb)

Hi everyone. I'm in the market to purchase a new LCD. I had my sights on the Dell one at first. It had the IPS panel, 22", 1680x1050, USB ports. Then I found the LG one. This one has a P-MVA panel (if I'm correct IPS>P-MVA?), 1920x1200 (more real estate), HDMI (good for the 360), speakers (doesn't really make or break the deal) only downside is that it is a refurb. I'm fine with purchasing refrubs but the idea of getting one with dead pixels is making me wary of purchasing it. The retailer selling the LG has a >5 dead pixel policy.

2209WA -
Pros
- IPS
- Brand new
- Dell's warranty
Cons
- same price as the 24"
- no HDMI

LG L246WP-BN -
Pros -
- Same price
- 1920x1200
- HDMI
- Speakers
Cons-
- Refurb
- Possibility of getting dead pixels

Which one would should I get?

Get the LG. Unless you're a professional Photoshop user (or some sort of professional graphic artist), you probably will never appreciate the difference between IPS and PVA panels. I have both panels, and 99% of my computing time I can tell nor care for the difference in colors. Now a TN panel would be a no-no though. But get the LG for the 1900x1200 resolution. To me, the 1680x1050 resolution will be fast falling out of fad because it's not HD resolution and yet not quite a "professional" resolution either.
