New Dell 22" Monitor

So I upgraded from a 19" LCD to a dell 22" widescreen and downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers for my card at the same time.

When I put in a dvd i notice the quality isn't as clear as it was on my 19", and I don't mean like a little difference, certain scenes, particularly dark ones have a little pixelation showing and I'm not sure if maybe it's the video drivers or a setting or what? BTW games run flawlessly.

Btw anyone ever heard of backlight bleeding changing over time? Like less? It seems like to me that the monitor's top back light bleeding has lessed or that I've just got use to the fact that its there... not sure if there is any truth to this.

what software decoder? some are better than others.
and yes, you probably are noticing the limitations of 720x480 video now. especially ones that are starved for bitrate.

You've discovered the biggest downside to the current 22" (TN panel) LCDs : 6-bit color

Now you know why they are so cheap.
