new Dell 2005fp won't display correct resolution

Hi guys,
Just plugged in my real FP2005 from Dell but when I go to Display control panel, I can't find an option for 1680x1050 resolution. I only see 1600x1200 and 1280x1024. This monitor is plugged into an IBM T41 running ATI Radeon 7500. I even downloaded Powerstrip, but don't see the widescreen option there either. Any help guys or am I out of luck with my laptop.
 
Does the dell have a monitor driver? Tells computer what resolution it uses. Unless the 7500 doesn't support those resolutions.
