New Defraggler (from makers of CCleaner)

Mem

Lifer
Defraggler supports all OSs released since Windows 2000, this includes Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. Although 64-bit support is not included in this version, we are working on compatibility, so it will be available soon! Additionally Defraggler supports both NTFS and FAT32 file systems.

I have tried it on my backup XP PC,works ok,decent interface and layout anyway no problems to report.

And we need more defrag tools, why?

I don't know. Apparently defrag's do so much for performance we need several different programs that all do the same thing.

OK, understandable. I've never needed to touch the defrag program on my Vista machine though. pretty sure it takes care of itself. I'll see if I can't dig up anything on the problem you're having.

Actually you need to just fix your Vista machine.

Any ideas how to restart or get the vista defrag to open?

It wont start from the cmd prompt or start menu .

This isn't the best answer I'm sure, but how about a repair install? It would bug the hell out of me knowing a feature that's supposed to work, doesn't. It's hard to beat the Vista defrag for ease of use, and it would be worth a repair install to fix it imo.
