YouTube - Here is the first full trailer for Dead Rising 2 showing the new hero, the new location, many zombies, chainsaws, and...a moose head?

The dual chainsaw staff is pretty badass, as is the dirt bike rigged with dual chainsaws.

Looks fun. I think I'd have to insist on a co-op multiplayer experience in order to put down money for the game, though - I have a hard time paying for games with little replay value.

The confusion regarding possible multiplayer in Dead Rising 2 has been laid to rest, as Capcom has confirmed that Blue Castle's upcoming sequel has online multiplayer.

"Rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game," Capcom development head Keiji Inafune said during a recent press event, as reported by Eurogamer. "I can't go into specifics about what type of multiplayer as that directly relates to some of the game systems that we don't want to talk about at this event. It will be online multiplayer."

Inafune added that "single-player alone is not going to cut it," noting "we're at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game."

Coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Dead Rising 2 is currently without an exact release date, though it's due by the time Capcom's fiscal year ends on March 31, 2010.

Looks interesting, but it will probably get boring quick. At least the first one did for me.

Me too which is why I never pay full price for practically any game made any more. Multiplay is not a substitute for replayability.
