New DC project for TA

I have started a team for TA in the Community TSC project run by The Rothberg Institute For Childhood Diseases. This project's goal is to aid in finding a cure for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). From the project's web site:

TSC is a genetic disorder that leads to benign tumors in multiple organs, including the brain, kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs and other organs. During the first few years, the severity of TSC can range from mild skin abnormalities to, in severe cases, seizures, mental retardation or renal failure. We are currently in 81st place out of 81 teams. I welcome you to investigate this project and to help out TA if you find it interesting.

Could you provide more technical information about the clients and stuff since you have obviously tried 'em 🙂

Community TSC uses the D2OL client. It is a java based GUI available for Windows 98/2000/NT/ME/XP, Mac OS X, Solaris, and Linux.

Seems to play nicely as long as you don't keep the java window open when running. For the linux version, I had to download libstdc++3 since RedHat 7.3 doesn't include gcc3 libraries.

I haven't been too impressed with the D2OL client. The first time I installed it on my XP 1800+ it took a couple hours to initiate the engine. After it got that done though it has run fine and is a very nice looking client but with few options for controlling the way it operates.

BTW the D2OL team is about to pass WWW.ZX2.COM🙂 but we have Selling City right on our heals and gaining.🙁 Next target after WWW.ZX2.COM is Hard OCP😀 and I can't wait.

Duh, I prefer cmd-line clients on all platforms, hmh.
