Yes it is going to be made in Japan and the American version is being created at the same time.

They are also using a diferent type of animation aparently also being created in 5.1 Dolby EX

I think it was the American soundtrack and "dubbing" that ruined DBGT. I watched the subtitled version and it was MUCH more entertaining.

At the end of DBZ, Gohan was the strongest as a single person, not a fused person.

Will this new series have anything to do with Akira Toriyama?


I guess it's not surprising they would continue the story. Especially considering the extremely high ratings both in Japan and the US, with 508 episodes spanning the 3 series... Still the longest continuous animated show in history isn't it? (Single story)
 
I hope this is just a rumor like the DB:AF stuff was. We really don't need another anime series where half an episode is someone screaming and "powering up." 😛

Dont forget the thing about being on fire (aura?) and all of a sudden being more powerful.

So is this new series suppose to take place inbetween DBZ and GT, after cell, or after GT? I remember there being something about Gohan, after getting the special training from the old ki, that he couldnt go SS (or was it he just powered up by doing that). Anyhow, when Baby attacked and infected Gohan, didnt he go SS (I thought he couldnt do that). There might be a story in that time frame but who knows.

I havent seen any pics or screens or anything, you guys have a link that shows this new series?
 
the dragonball live action movie is the greatest movie ever created by man.

if this new series can be half as good, it will be AWESOME.

As the risk of raising my nerdiness level to 99....

Yes, Gohan received this "training" that allowed all his dormant powers to become usable, essentially making "super" forms pointless. Such transformations exert power, so they are always somewhat of a waste, even though you gain much more. It was getting crazy to the point where SSJ3 (Goku) could only last in the form for a limited time before being uselessly tired. This latent power up was always "on", so to speak. Gohan was the strongest non-fused character by the end of DBZ.

DBGT made many mistakes and plotholes because it wasn't "canon". The original creator basically had no part in it, except character designs.
 
It was the year 2000 when I stopped watching DB ( I watched every single episode from DB to DB GT, watched all the movies, OVA's and specials)....I am not going back 🙁 ....I am not! :frown:
