Hows the stability when overclocking? Did they fix the messed up screen when returning from standby/sleep mode? There was something else but I can't remember. I hate it when that happens.

havent tried the stanby mode yet will try that tonight when i go to sleep. the 125/125/41 fsb is still there no change.cpu temp i know its really correct because when i had this cpu in 2 other m/b(be6-2 and Gigabyte gv4x)it reads the same 33c idle 42c full load with pep66.but heres the thing im impress before i could never hit a gig with this cpu now i can hit 1015 but not that stable Quake3 crashes in 2hrs yes i've been testing this new bios and others always running everything prime95 torture, with cpu stab,3dmark 2000,and while playing mp3 which i swear crashes everything in its path. before when i had this cpu at 966(with old bios) for 30min it crashes, but now it seems to be okay.agian i cant tell you that this bios is perfect since i dont have pc133 memory running pc100.so when i had it at 1gig it might be the memory or cpu

Hi,

Can you tell me whether they fixed that bug where the bios wouldn't retain the oc'd speed upon cold booting? This was one of the major concerns for me for CUSL2 & I ended up picking up a MSI 815E Pro (which I'm very content with), but I'm thinking about picking up another 815 chipset mobo. Thanks.

I would really recommend that users of the 1002Final should flash to another version, though it may solve some probs, there's been many issues with, hence Asus took it from their site, all of them, German, Taiwan, America. It still needs some work.....

Actually, the most likely reason that Asus pulled the final from their site was because of the POST issues with video setup.

The general public doesn't keep themselves updated, so when they do something like Live update or Aflash and see nothing when they boot, they think they broke the board.

It was mainly Asus' fault for not including that you should probably reset BIOS to default before you flash.

Actually, Asus reposted the 1002 final. Now they include a warning in red about the issue of upgrading the bios for the CUSL2 and a way to avoid the problem people have had.

One thing I can say is that my system will now run PC133 memory at 133 speed. With the 002 bios I could never get the system to boot at 133:133:33 settings. It would lock before PNP initialization. With the new bios I am now running my memory at 133 and will now attempt some OCing. Don't know about anything else yet but will continue to play with the new BIOS and hope it fixed any other problems out there. Fianlly, I also did not have the dead system problem after the flash like with the 001 to 002 flash. WHY DID ASUS EVER PUT THE BOARD TOGETHER WITHOUT THE CMOS CLEAR JUMPER. Sure you can still jump the solder points, but that is stupid.
