What do use all think, impressed or what?
I think video games rot your brain.
I think that its normally suspicous when a new guy makes a new thread with his first post (especially when its the africanamerican.gif avatar), but this one didnt advertise anything so he's cool.

Also, thanks for the new screenies.

I'm just trying to spread the word about these sweet new screenies. Also, totalcry gets full credit for these screeneis.

Very impressed by the close-up shots, but you can see the texture transition line in the wide landscape views, just like in oblivion. Unavoidable I guess. Hopefully they will make it a much smoother transition/fade than Bethesda did.

Holy guacamoly! That is insane, anyone know what you're going to need to run that?

Similar to Oblivion I guess - fast Athlon 64 or Conroe chip, at least a gig of RAM, x1000/7900 series card.

since when did Oblivion have such steep requirements? My OC'ed 7800gs handles it pretty well at 1280x1024, with HDR, some details on medium, and mods.

No... to run it at great visuals at 1280x1024

"rumored" specs are on that site...

Minimum Requirements

CPU: Athlon 64 3200+/Intel 5xx series
Graphics: Nvidia 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0)
RAM: 768Mb/1Gb on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive : DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

They are simply estimates made by myself based on the factors mentioned above. The minimum requirements may drop a little below that, but I don't think you would want anyless than that by the time Crysis comes out. Also remember that CryEngine2 will be very scalable.
Recommended Requirements

CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GTX/ATI X1800XT (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5Gb
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive : DVD
Software: DX10 with Windows Vista

Well, once this game is released I will have no reason to visit a rain forest, aircraft carrier or ever need to go outside for that matter. "Honey, did you get your sun today? Yes dear, I played Crysis and I gotta little sun burned"

I believe space ghost was asking what was needed to run the game....not at max details. So i have no idea what you get those requirements from.
