Sometimes I wonder about their choice of character designs, but they do get the job done. The Trigens looked really dumb at first, but they kind of grow on you. The human characters were also fairly unnatural and blocky.

It seems disappointing to me. The game was supposed to look like this:

Also, what kind of gameplay was that? Looked like nothing that has not been done in Quake 4 or some other current generation title of moderate quality.

The game is supposed to be PC, but if the game is successful, I have no doubt that they will find some excuse to port it to the consoles.

yes, this was mentioned during the MS E3 presentation.

I heard it was coming to Xbox 360. But that it was a PC title 1st and console game 2nd.

Like Far Cry was.

Indeed, night time battles on a carrier surrounded by water is supposed to look like day time in a forest.

Hey - it was one low-rez movie. Don't dog it so soon. Still looks like one hell of a visual overhaul then its counterpart. If they improve the gameplay , which was all ready excellent in far cry, then it sure well be a very good game.

I really liked the gameplay demo. The graphics are a step above of what's out now, and unlike what was said earlier, the mechanical spider thing looked excellent. I'm not a fan, however, of the stupid "tilt-the-screen-from-side-to-side-really-really-fast-when-an-explosion-occurs" bullsh|t. Too much of that going on in that video, and highly annoying. I really liked the volumetric smoke, especially when it first goes outside.
