Hot off the press, make sure you watch it in HD 😎

Very impressive. Crysis 3 will be going all out in the 3D tech department it seems. The toad at the end in particular is amazing!

And it looks like you will be able to be killed by a gator in Crysis 3, similar to how you were able to be killed by a shark in the original game..

Anyone that thinks Frostbite 2 has anything on Cryengine 3 must be crazy.. 😵

Finally I am seeing some impressive stuff from them unlike in C2. Hopefully that makes it into the shipping game and does not remain tech demo material.

Yeah. I think 680 SLi or equivalent will definitely be necessary to max this game out at 2560x1440/1600.. I'll have to get my mitts on a pair of them before the game ships and sell my 580s..

When is Haswell due out again?

I need that toad tech!

I wonder if NVIDIA will finally release the GK110 when crysis 3 is about the launch.

Blurry textures, insane HDR, low fps, and probably requires $1500 of gpu just to get playable frame rates.

I am disappoint.

I have a $300 GPU (much older and slower than yours) and it runs CryEngine3 just fine.....better than CE2, actually.

It does look like more "fantasy" themed but anything that will push the current gen hardware is welcome in my book. Current graphic level of games feels like it has stagnated for a few years already

Top Secret Tessellated Toad Tech....LOL
I think it looks great.

I guess the comparisons to Unreal Engine 4 did make Yerli mad and they're not gonna hold back for better performance this time.

Crysis 2 is kinda meh.... but this.... wow.

Looks good indeed. I can't wait to see the A.I. getting stuck on stairs and spinning on their own axis not knowing what to do though. With such great lightning and shadows at least we'll still be able to appreciate the models and the textures.

The day I see a new "A.I. tech demo" demonstrating actual improvement to A.I. for 3D games especially in FPS games with a single-player mode or with A.I. bots for multi-player then I'll be happy. But, yeah anyway, it does look good... reminds me I have yet to finish Crysis 2.

It's coming out for this console gen...did you expect any different?

I was expecting those washed out textures from the beginning. Seems like they compromised high resolution textures with insane amounts of bump mapping everywhere and of course their *erm* top-secret G14 classified tessellation technology.

Crysis 2 ran nicely on my AMD 5200+, 2gb RAM and 5770.

Crytek aren't (entirely) stupid, CE3 is probably going to be well optimized for PC.
The thing I want more though is a better game, the demos look good though

i don't need better graphics, i need gameplay and story!

Or hell, just give me a better story. Some of the only games that manage to keep me drawn in anymore are those with a well-written storyline. Pretty graphics can only hold me so long.

My only worry about the game is this 'vegetation tessellation' Lots of vegetation and excessive tessellation may = frame rate crawl.
