hey guys
we just got a couple of new dell 2.4Cs
i installed DF as a service on it, and it was using 50% of the cpu @ the max....the guy who ordered them only got 256 megs of RAM. its our receptionist's computer so she doesnt need a gig of RAM or anything, but what she got is overkill anyways...but thats another story.
so instead of installing two different clients into different DIRs and using almost all the system's RAM
i just turned off HT in the BIOS and now the cpu goes 100% idle to DF.
this isnt going to impact performance terribly is it?
i dont know squat about intel hardware....sorry.
wait....no im not
