AMD XP1600+ with 128M PC2100 DDR crunching SETI. Not on the home network yet...just burnt a CD-RW with 30 WU's and SETIDriver and dumped onto the drive. Waiting for a little while to see how fast it is.

Built for around $175 shipped (not including drives....which I already had...old HD, CD and floppy and old case fans)

Oh, and I'll build another just like it in the next few days...already have the drive imaged! 😀

WU!!WU!!WU!!

more...more...more! 😀

Sweet! I've upgraded my 1.33 tbird to a 1600+ and it's running running @ 1626 right now (155x10.5) and it's crunching WU's between 3:15-3:45, and one VLAR was like ~4:15, but still it's like a 60-90minute improvement PER WU over my TBird 🙂 Hopefully that'll crank em out for ya 😀

Nothing as great as adding 2 XP1600s, but I found out that a person at work is going to be gone until next week instead of returning this week, so I get another week of 24/7 PIII750 lappy crunching! 😀

I was able to finally convince the people at work to leave their desktops on 24/7 (for business reasons) so I've given up using SETIDRIVER on some of the desktops at work so I can install SETI CLI using Flexinstaller (boy is that proggy quick!)
and schedule the start & stop times. So I've added a few more PCs to the work fleet, running from 5:30pm to 7:00am M-F, and continuously through the weekend until Monday 7:00am. 😀

Just doing my part. 😀
