new crucial ram with samsung chips??

my new 512mb 2100 ddr so-dimm came today and it's got samsung chips. are samsung chips as good as crucial or better?

There are only a few actual chip manufacturers. I do not believe that Crucial is a chip manufacturer. They are a board assembly and packaging house. If I am wrong about this, I stand corrected.

Regardless, Samsung RAM chips are A#1.

Crucial uses Micron chips unless Micron doesn't produce the specific chips needed. Micron is the parent company of Crucial. I got a stick of Crucial PC2100 with Infineon chips back when Micron wasn't producing PC2100 chips dense enough for 512 MB sticks
