Its like they thought they should jump on the Web 2.0 look, and then realized they're Craigslist and so half-assed it and just centered the page and changed the back highlights a bit. They did at least remove all that junk on the side (countries, states, and tons of other cities).

eh...i use either craiglook or heycraigapp on the PC & Craigsnotifica on the phone most of the time, so it has been quite some time since I've seen the front page of CL for my city.

More than just the layout has (is/will) change at Craigslist.

Radical changes already implemented this year (I use Dallas):

1) No more creating postings without accounts! That made it very convenient to use because you could create a listing w/o logging in.

and

2) All accounts must be tied to and verified with a non google voice telephone number (that number is called). If the account is shut down, the phone number is banned from being used again. How are you supposed to have fun on CL now if all the good posts are flagged by idiots and your number and account are banned?
