New cpu same temp as old cpu with less voltage?

I was running a TBred B 1700+ @ 2000 MHz with 1.6 vcore and the cpu temp was about 41C at idle. I just installed a mobile Barton 2600+ and it is currently running at 2000 MHz with 1.45 vcore and the cpu temp is about 41C at idle. Do Bartons run hotter than TBred B's because of the double cache or something? Because of the 0.15 lower vcore with the mobile Barton I was expecting the cpu temp to be a few degrees lower. Any thoughts?

btw, I have an Abit NF7-S with the latest bios (24)

Maybe you got a TBRED B 1700+ that was a good chip or a mobile Barton 2600+ that is not as good a chip. In can happen. Sometimes luck can play a part as per what chip you get from what wafer and yield etc.
