New cpu, more memory...always a new headache...

Just upgraded my cpu from 1.8 to 2.8ghz on my Abit IT7 MB, and added another 512 stick of Corsair XMS-3200 ram for total of 1 gig. Same Gainward GeForce 4400 vid card w/ 6177 drivers. Direct X 9.0c
Now Links 2003 golf game will not run, kicks back to desktop... yes, I did uninstall / re-install game...

What to do.... un-install, re-install vid card?

if it were the video card, your machine would most likely freeze. sounds like memory to me.

What type of CPU temps are you getting? If your heatsink wasn't seated properly when you installed the new CPU, it's possible that the game (which is CPU-intensive) is causing your CPU to overheat.
