It still won't be delivered for a week, but its going to be a big step up from the futon we've been sitting on for the last year and a half.

It is microfibre or something, not leather. About 8.5 feet long and 4 feet wide with big cushiony cushoins.

We looked at like 200-250 couches and ended up picking this one...

Just curious if anyone has gotten a couch recently and how much they paid for it.

i have NEVER paid for a couch. my parents keep giving me there old ones when they buy stuff. heh

The couch i have now is about 12 years old. So we are thinking of getting a new one. I would try to talk my parents into getting a new one but they got one last year ($1200) and gave there old one to my sister (who sold it to a friend for $300).

I bought a cheap one from VCF recently for $500. It's really nice now, but I know it won't be good for more than a few years.

how much did you pay?

got one at a yard sale for $50. It's good. It'll be better once the old people smell goes away.

Got a leather one but how to keep the damn dog from mangling it with it's dirty jowls, fangs and claws?

I love those microsuede couches. They are very comfortable, and a lot nicer than leather in the summer.

I paid $700 3 years ago for our couch & love seat. They are ok, but you get what you pay for. It looks like we'll be replacing them in a year or two, if we can make them last that long.

Our Couch was 800 + delivery/tax,etc. I think its a nice couch and a step up from the ones we were looking at for 500.

Also, its huge! which is nice after the short little futon.

Huge L couch, pretty nice when we took it out of the guys house, tore the hell out of it on the way down 3 stories.
Been puked on, we paid $50.
Very comfortable, sleepable-on, folds out into a full size.

We bought a new sofa for the living room a few months ago for $800.00. I hated waiting a month to have it reupholstered from the orginal fabric at the showroom but now I see it was worth the wait.

Now I want to get rid of my couch and loveseat in my den and get a sectional.

just bought a townhouse and are hunting for living rom furniture, bedroom furniture, office furniture...

Cannot believe the amount of $$$ I've spent in closing, re-carpeting,re-painting and moving into a house. Everyday, i ask myself why I did not just stay put in my old apartment complex....

c'est la vie
