The fact that it uses 'nanotubing' and has the possibility to effectively absorb and dissapate a lot heat could mean low rpm's though. And if they say it's. I'm not sure why aigomorla is so sceptical though, based on one single product they didn't actually release ? Sure, first we will have to see it before we can believe it, but that doesn't mean it's totally irrelevant and uninteresting.

I agree! It IS interesting and I am ALWAYS hopefuly for a solution to cool a CPU even better... I just am not sure how it would work. But hell, I don't understand how a lot of things work, and they still do.

not sceptical. Just saying by the time it comes out public, there be much better things to compete against it.

Thats if it ever comes out. This thing should become pretty expensive.

I would buy it if it was $200 and beat a watercooling setup of the same or higher price.

Shouldn't we wait until someone actually benches the cooler before we jump to conclusions? It doesn't look like much, but looks can be deceiving.

Can we just let it die.

This product will never hit retail like the Phase unit. So i dont know why you guys are hoping and still talking about this product. It was debuted LAST year. And we have NO additional info on it.

No we cant let it die, ocz made a new revision of the hydrojet.

That actually looks pretty friggin cool. I'd buy one for a reasonable price :D

Apparently carbon nanotubes conduct heat very well in one direction (ie. along the length of it), whereas conventional materials would conduct heat in every direction. What coolers need is the former and not the latter since we're trying to get heat away from the base as quickly as possible.

Well, here is to bringing this back from the dead again... but I have not seen anything new since the last "re-design"... I just wish they would officially say it is dead already if they are not going to make it, but I guess that would mean admitting they wasted $$$$ in R&D to stock/stake-holders in the company.
