Wow, I just found this out. If you type just one letter, for example "a," it'll take you to a random website! Neato!

I now feel vindicated.

lol, apparently your version of firefox is on crack. It'll either search for a link on the page with that search entry or if you change the options, it'll search for a normal text word.

When I downloaded .091 the default for any search from the address bar was an "I'm Feeling Lucky" Google search.

If you type "dict anyword" firefox will give you the dictonary entry for that word

I think you're experiencing "type ahead find". On an anandtech forums page, type "gener" and note that it's selected a link to GH. Type "/my menu" and note that you're at the "my menu" thing. It's one of the most useful features of Mozilla/ff.
