Don't think you need the Phenom II X4 if you are just doing casual gaming. I think an Athlon II X3 440/435 or an Athlon II X4 630/635 would serve you just as well.

that entirely depends on whether casual means "very low end games" or "only a few hours here and there of high end games which I want to look real nice"

OP, please make a list of games you most commonly play... name some genres, and how important is it that your games be run on max graphical settings.

Nvidia has been a problem for me in the past with the heat etc. i prefer ATI any suggestions? the 5700 series has some pretty good reviews and the 5800 is too costly :T

If all your getting for a video card is a 5670, you might as well get an Athlon II instead of Phenom II, you'll be gpu limited far more often than cpu limited in games.

Not a bad build considering it's stated purpose. Case and PSU are important considerations as well. I'd take a 9800GT over a 5670 at the same price point, but you might want to go a little lighter on the CPU (Athlon || X4) and heavier on the GPU (HD5770).
