Yep, Seagate sounds like a sure choice. I almost forgot...I need a router also to split the internet connection. Please give advice on what makes a good router and it NEEDS to be wireless. What all would I need and what is a good spending limit for quality components?

Oh and how do I tell which IDE device is the master and slave? I do not understand what the difference is or its importance.

any IDE can be either master or slave, there are jumpers on the HDDs/Optical drives.

Master gets priority on the cable as only one decide on a PATA cable can be accessed at one time.
