We are buying a new pc for my bro who is away at school, and we are getting it from radioshack, because my parents don't trust me too build it, so this computer is an HP.

My dilema is that it says it has an AMD Athlon 3200+(32bit)@ 2.2ghz w/ 512k L2 cache and 400mhz FSB<which is more than what he needs, as he will likely be playing games like rollercoaster tycoon and NHL2001, however the RAM says it's 512MB of PC2700DDR@ 333MhZ

I was under the impression that the 3200+ needed DDR3200, being a 400FSB and all, please help

If the processor is more than what he needs, the slightly lower grade memory speed will still be more than enough for your brother's light computer usage. Don't sweat it :)
