New computer worked fine for a few weeks, now doesn't start

I just recently built my computer a few weeks ago, and today, while playing a game, it all of a sudden froze, so I pressed the reset button. Then the computer just beeped every 3-4 seconds. When I opened up the case after I let the case cool down and tried to start again (unplugged my side case fan), the fans powered up as well as the motherboard light, but nothing came up on my monitor and no beeps, but when I do plug in my side case fan, it beeps when I try to start the computer. Any help would be great since I'm a noob.

Thanks

can you describe the beeps? they actually mean something. can you also give us your temps if possible and can you also narrow out what may be wrong?

Well, I looked all over the manual for the meaning of the beeps, but couldn't find it. The it beeps for about 1 second about every 4 seconds.

As for the temps, I hadn't directly monitored them, but I had been playing cs for the past couple weeks with no probs. I have a vantec 120mm thermoflow fan in the rear, 2, 80mm front fans, and one 80mm side fan, each of which are supposed to put out about 30cfm I believe. I have a thermatake silent pure power cpu fan. When I opened up the case after it froze, it didn't seem as hot as my old computer used to get when it froze from the heat.

Yoojoo, look in your motherboard manual for the CMOS reset jumper and follow the instructions.

Reseat your DIMMs and try them one at a time.

Also check your power connectors and make sure none of the wires came loose.

I had a loose wire that was pushed back and was barely making contact. Once I pushed the pin all the way into the connector, it worked.

I reset the CMOS jumper then tried the memory sticks with only the vid card in place. With one of the memory sticks, the computer beeped, but with the other memor stick, the monitor worked, but it said "CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded"

Any advice?

So basically, one of my memory sticks must've gone out right?
