I need some help guys :(

I assembled a computer here at work, here are the specs:
AMD 1600+ (with stupid coolermaster heatsink fan which was somewhat hard to hook on)
Epox 8KHM
256mb pc2100
Western Digital 20gb hard drive
Leadtek WinFast GeForce 4MX
cd-drive and disk-drive
* all parts courtesy of www.directron.com which is located somewhat near my work place

Anyways, I installed everything in the case and went to turn it on. Everthing turns on in the computer ( all the fans, the cd-rom, disk drive, lights on the video card) but nothing shows up on the monitor.

I then just had the cpu, hard drive, and ram in to turn on but the same thing happens.

Theres a red led light on the motherboard that turns on too, I don't know if that means there is an error or its just there , I find very little about this motherboard on the internet.

Sorry for the long post, but i'm stumped, i highly doubt anything is worng with the cpu.

Any help would be very much appreciated

On my extra system, when this happens I switch off the PSU in the back, not just turn the computer off, but the PSU as well and then turn it back on and it works.

Also, reset CMOS and/or exchange the RAM, and I have found that network cards are a )#@$ on new systems.
