set this up a couple weeks ago and the computer would not post, comp turned on, but blank screen and no beeps.

The CPU, ram and video card have all been tested and work.

Just got the replacement mobo in and put it all back together and still same problem. I hooked everything up outside of the case on the bench and its not working. Did I get ANOTHER bad mobo from newegg?

Update #2:

Well I got an Antec True Power Trio 650W, here is a link:

The computer will power on and I can get into the BIOS, but Im stil having power issues;

1. When I go to turn on the computer it wont power up on the first try. Ill turn it on, the fans will spin for a few seconds, then the computer wil turn off, then it will turn itself right back on. It will either repeat this cycle 2 or 3 times.

2. Once it finally turns on and I try to install WinXP, it will reboot itself about half way into the installer copying the files onto the HD.

Anyone know whats going on now? That PSU is WAY more than what this comp needs.

I pligged in a 450w psu form another computer and the new comp started up, but it keeps shutting down and rebooting randomly, could the 450w psu just not bee enough power?

possible but unlikely. Most likely you dont have enough amps on the 450 if its a generic.. go to your local PC store and ask about their return policy on they PSUs.. if you can return it without problems then buy one try it.. if it works keep it if it doesnt bring it back for your refund. Id suggest the Thermaltake Toughpower 750 watt

Try cleaning the memory sockets with a brush and the memory itself by using a pencil eraser on the memory's contacts, if not try taking piece by piece all your cards, also might try using a different HDD or trying it in another computer.

I hope this helps.

Ok, another update.

I got windows xp installed and all ym drivers and programs and what not installed and it seems to be running fine. I booted it up and let it sit over night and it was fine. The only time it ever has that power problem is when I start it up. I push the power button, the fans spin for a few seconds, then it shuts down. A few seconds later it will turn it self back on and will boot up normally.
