New computer won't display anything on screen

This is my first time building a computer and I'm at wit's end. I've tried everything to get my Samsung screen to show something but nothing happens. All the fans spin up and the leds light up so I"m sure its getting power.

The motherboard I have has integrated graphics and I tried using the vga port, nothing happens. I tried using a X800XL video card, nothing happens on both dvi or vga. I've used a pci video card, nothing happens. I've reset the CMOS, nothing happens although I may be doing it wrong. According to the manual, there are jumpers to use. Its normally in the 2-3 position and I put it in the 1-2 position and started it up and than shut down the pc, replacing the jumper back to the 2-3 position. I'm running out of ideas. I know the display cables all work fine.

MSI P6NGM-L motherboard
ddr2 400(yes 400, this is to hold me until my proper ram gets here) ram
80gb ide drive
ide dvd burner
OCZ modstream 520 PSU

Well I just checked the MSI website and it says that your motherboard supports DDR2-533/667. So the first thing I would try is replacing the RAM.

As for the correct way to reset the CMOS; With the computer off, change the jumper from 2-3 to 1-2. Leave it for about 5 seconds, then restore it to 2-3. The CMOS should then be reset.

Most, if not all motherboard manufacturers specifically state to not do what I have bolded above. They state that doing so will damage the motherboard. You may have struck it a fatal blow.
