New Computer w/Radeon 64mb VIVO problems

Can anyone help me? I just built a new computer for the first time and everything works great except the video card. When windows starts up it says the display driver is not functioning and I might need to update it. I'm stuck at 640x480 16 colors. I went to the ATI website and found out I already have the latest driver. I have an Abit KT7A-RAID motherboard running an AMD 1.33ghz processor with Windows ME.

What type of video card? What motherboard? If an AGP card, you may need to install a driver for your motherboard or chipset to get AGP cards working properly. For example, you probably have a VIA-based motherboard, so you'll need to install the VIA 4in1 drivers. You can get them from VIA's site, or here.
