new computer problem

I just got a xp 1600+ Tbred A from off the forums and a msi kt3 ultra-R
I have 2562100 crucial and a 380w psu. I have everything connected right but it just powers up with no post or beep. Im wondering what is wrong because I know all of the parts are fine and are not or have not had any problems with them at all. Im guessing I accidentally looked something over? LMK your thoughts guys... It has no OS on it as I cant it to boot to put a OS on there!

Not sure if it applies to your board, but some won't power up if they don't detect the cpu fan spinning. This can occur if you have the cpu fan plugged into some other connector other than the one specified for cpu. This is also a setting that is usually controlled in the bios to enable/disable cpu protection. This *could* be your problem.

Is the motherboard properly seated on the standoffs? Try testing the components on a woodtop table to see if possibly the case was causing some sort of short.

If you power the hsf from a molex connector you still need a connector to the cpu fan header on the mobo to signal that the fan is spinning. I have heard that you can buy these adapters separately, but there should have been one with any hsf that is appropriate for your cpu.
