i just got a new system, here are the specs
AMD 5200x2
Abit KN9 ultra
GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit [4gigs in total]

here is my issue, or should i say issues, the system only boots with the ram set to 1.9 with one stock of ram in, i have to bump the ram to 2.0v to get it to boot with all 4 sticks of ram, also doing this i get both the green light and red lights to light up, with the ram set to 2.0v the timings are 5-5-5-15, the geil setting is 4-4-4-12, adjusting this any way the computer fails to boot, even at the timing 5-5-5-15 with 2.0v it fails memtest on test 5. any ideas on what i should do? should i bump the ram voltage up? the ram is rated at 1.9v to 2.3v but whats the thresh hold of the motherboard

Is the memory supported by the motherboard manufacturer(Abit)?
Can you test with a different set of ram?

If it's rated for 2.3, then feel free to go to 2.2-2.3- to get your OC set right, along with your timings.

Yup, set the RAM to what it's rated for on the manufacturer's website. Booting with only one when undervolted is to be expected and actually the usual way to get the vDIMM up in order to boot with them all.

P.S.: No apostrophe in 'issues' 🙂.

i'm not trying to oc this system , just get it running at stock.i bumped the voltage to 2.1v and was able to set the timings to 4-4-4-12 and have it boot but it still failed memtest @ 21% i bumped the voltage to 2.2v and set the ram timings back to auto, still fails , what i dont under stand is in memtest it says [Ram 466mhz (DDR866)] is that correct? in my bios on default its set to 800mhz

edit to last post, i tried each stick of ram alone at default settings with 2.1v i ran memtest on each stick in dimms 1 and 2 , every stick passed alone, so,why when i put 2 or 4 sticks in is this failing
