I just got a new computer setup, MSI K8T Neo, athlon64 3400+, 256 MB ram (should be 512, but the second stick was faulty, in the process of being replaced).
I also got a soundblaster audigy ls.
However I get no sound whatsoever. I checked and made sure that everything was not muted. I even tried enabling onboard sound and still got no sound. I know it's not the speakers, they work fine with anything else. I believe I have all the latest drivers. Could this be a mobo issue and if so how can I test/fix it?
This may be unrelated, but when I go to a site like homestarrunner, I have difficulty loading the menu page, and when I mouse over the buttons, the animations do not play all the way through, just the first frame, apparantly.
