new computer freeze for a few sec during games

i just built a new system
amd 3400 64
msi k8v neo platinum
1 gig of cosariar xms 2.2.2.5 ram
6800u 61.76 drivers

i played farcry and ut 2004 both games freeze while im playing them only for about 5 sec then go on for another 3- 5 min them freeze again its got me bafled what it could be. no ativius is running in the back ground some one told me to check the agp apture bump that up i did to 256 but still the same, need help this is frustating . with farcry im gettng around 35 fps no lag every thing else is fast loading dont know need help please

First off, what is your power supply? I reccomend a good brandname 350w or a cheapo 400w psu to run an ultra on. Also, try to use 2 different molex connectors from different cords on your 6800u. If that doesnt work, run drivercleaner to uninstall the nv drivers and then update and install the most recent drivers on their site. Then, update your motherboard/chipset drivers. I have more ideas if these dont work, but these are the most common fixes.
