I am building a computer for a friend. Here is what I have right now from Newegg, any comments would be appreciated, especially about the graphics card, because this system will be used for new games like farcry, doom3, etc. I based it off of the mid-range system guide by AT, but have made some changes. Here are the specs:

-Antec Solution Series Quiet Black Mid Tower Case with 350W Power Supply, Model "SLK2650-BQE" -RETAIL
-MSI nForce3 250 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754 CPU, Model "K8N Neo Platinum" (MS-7030) -RETAIL
-CHAINTECH nVIDIA GeForce 6800 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "AA6800B1" -RETAIL
-AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - Retail
-OCZ Enhanced Latency Serices 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - Retail
-Seagate 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model ST3120026AS, OEM
-Logitech BLACK Optical Desktop PS/2 104keys -OEM
-Lite-On Black 52X32X52X16 Combo Drive, Model SOHC-5232K, OEM Bulk Pack

And the total (shipped) is under $950.

Here is a link to the wish list at Newegg: http://secure.newegg.com/app/WishR.asp?ID=963170 .

I was considering it, but it really needs to be under $950 (for reasons I'm not going to go into). It may be possible, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Looks good, only thing I'd change is the retail CPU to OEM. I don't like the retail HS/F but that?s personal preference I suppose.

Are you going to overclock? If so, screw the enhanced latency RAM and get some PC4000 RAM.

Also, if you're going to overclock, look into DFI's new LANParty UT motherboard... apparently it's an overclocking beast.

Everything else looks fine to me... what kind of monitor is going to be used?
