I'm building a new computer and have spec'd out the following components. I already have a monitor/mouse/kb/dvd burner, so don't need to buy those. How does this look? Any suggestions on changes?

cpu: Intel Core i7 2600K Quad Core Unlocked Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Sandy Bridge 8MB ($330)
mobo: ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ($189)
video card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI HDMI 2x Mini DisplayPort Video Card ($300)
ram: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit ($140)
hdd: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM ($98)
ps: Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan ($110)
case: Fractal Design Define R3 Black ATX Mid Tower Silent Computer Case 2X5.25 8X3.5INT No PS Front USB ($110)

I would change two things:

RAM: ($40) You do NOT need 8Gb that is for sure unless you have a specific need, also you will want 1.5V memory as it is easier on the memory controller.

Case: HAF 912 very good airflow and nice design, also only $60 compared to 110.

If the Monolith case (like the fractal design) is what you are going for then that case will work fine, just more on the expensive side then i like.

OK, so that build has some MAJOR issues if you want it to be for gaming. You're spending way too much on the CPU, RAM, and HDD and not enough on the GPU.

Here's something much better for less than $1167:
i5 2500K + MSI P67A-C45 combo $350
Mushkin DDR3 1333 4GB $40
GTX 580 $510
Samsung F3 1TB $70
Antec Eartwatts 650W $70
HAF 912 $60
Total: $1100

Needless to say, this will be a good bit faster than your other system in games. Just add four more GB of memory when it becomes necessary.
