Its going to be awesome. I am going to keep a record of it here.

1 july 10

The idea:

The system shall be built around a 6core amd phenom. The CPU shall be liquid cooled, water temp to be cooled to 10degrees Celsius once i repair a 12volt portable esky to chill the water.

I shall replace the motherboard and ram sticks.

I shall run windows 7 64bit.

I am going to reuse my case, power supply and graphics card.

I want to get an awesome sound card

This is where i will be buying my gear from.

Feel free to make suggestions.

Pics will be added when i get time

air cooled is too noisy and heat killed the last cpu. Water cooling is far more efficient and far quieter.

just sayin

howd your exam go

How did heat kill your last cpu??? It shuts down the comp or resets if heat gets too much before anything can damage it.

Just curious what purpose your build is for (gaming/work/etc).

Keep in mind depending on the video card you choose could make a real difference in how much heat comes out of it or are you adding it to the water loop?

No need to take drastic measures 😀 It's an external cooling component, I get it.

Fail before start.

A small fridge, let alone one running on 12VDC has nowhere near the thermal capacity to remove heat from a modern cpu let alone other components.

If you want to liquid cool in an unconventional way and do it properly you need a chiller.
