new computer build - display on projector bad tint of blue

hey guys. i have my new build completed. everything seems to be pretty much up and well.

one issue that i can't seem to figure out is the display on my X1 Infocus projector. the color seems to be way off with a bad tint of blue on it. no matter what i try, the projector settings or the settings via windows/nvida, i can't seem to offset this.

here is my computer build:
i7 870
Intel X25-M 80GB
GIGABYTE GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
G.Skill DDR3 1333 8GB
Samsung F3 1TB
Samsung blu-ray combo drive
Corsair 550w
Antec p183

i'm using a vga -> dvi adapter to connect my project to the video card.

anyone have any suggestions?

thanks in advance!

First thing I would try is making sure all the connections are secure. If the VGA cable is loose, it might cause this issue.

Connect a monitor to the VGA cable and see if the display is normal. If it is then you know the problem is in the projector.

cable connections are secure. the monitor displays great. the projector works fine with my older computer (vga connector only no adapter).

what's next?

Make sure you adjust the output color space on your graphics card to use the TV color space unless your projector can accept the 0-255 that computer monitors use, and not the 16-239 that TV's use.

thanks for your reply. is that a setting on the nvidia's control panel?

as a side note, i'm using windows 7 and it seems they have a bunch of themes which can change the look drastically (unfortunately going through all settings didnt solve the problem). i wonder if this is a win 7 issue at all.
