New computer, ASUS Prime Z270-K and 8 GIG Seagate Pro Problems - Cant Partition correctly

Evening,

Helping out a friend here and I am stumped. He bought an 8 gig seagate pro on a ASUS Prime Z270-K and cant partition more than 2 GIG and 500 MB on the HDD itself. He also has a SSD hooked up as well.

This is causing issues and basically he has 5.5 gigs unpartitioned. Is there something missing here? Why wont this work?

He's partitioning the 8TB hard drive as MBR which has a limit of 2TB. He needs to pick GPT and can then format the drive as a full 8TB.
