New Computer Arrives Today!

Heya,

Thanks to all of you for helping me decide on what components to purchase for my new computer. It arrives from Monarch Computers today, but now I'm not sure what to do first, aside from opening it up and verifying all the right parts are in it.

What tests/checks should I perform on my new computer?

If you really want to put it through its paces, try some benchmark/burn-in/stability test programs like Sandra and Prime95. Memtest if you want to test the memory. CPU-Z is also a useful little utility.

Otherwise, just boot it up and use it. You'll probably get a pretty good idea or whether or not everything is there and working after a day or so of use. 😉
