Im having a problem where i hit power.. the motherboard light is on.. fans spin and nothing else happens. Anyone know what it could be? I tried taking ram out and puting 1 stick in then both. I also took out videocard and put back in. Im supposed to get error msg from Motherboard i thouhgt, onboard, nothing. I have asus 8vn SLI deluxe
 
maybe standoff is shorting - take mobo out of case and sit it on phonebook
also can be cpu not seated
or cpu fan not recognized
 
i got it to work.. now it wont detect my dvdrom. The jumper is set to master and ide cable is plugged in. On auto in bios. Cant install windows w/out a cdrom
