Well my ba4800's gave officially gave out now so I'm in the market for a set of new speakers. Somewhere around the 150 range, 4 speakers preferably but I'm pretty flexiable. I have been looking at the z560's, and I thought that I saw a deal on the for like 115.00 somewhere on the web, anyone know something like this. I also thought about HK soundsticks, because they look really sweet and don't take up much space... but do they work for the pc. And lastly I was looking at the klipsch 2.1's. Someone have some other suggestions? I have a audigy ex, so speakers that would take advantage of that awsome cards power are what I'm looking for. Also... I'll be using them for just about everything, music, movies/dvd's and fairly heavy gaming. Thanks!

stev0, if I had to replace my current speakers, I'd personally go w/ the z560's, I honestly don't think they can be beat at their price.

I heard the z560's right next to the Klipsch 4.1's and from my perspective, i could tell the difference. The 4.1's sounded better. $150 better? To some, yes... (myself included) Personally id go for the 2.1's if thats in your pricerange.

Logitech Z560s - IMO, it's the best price/performance ratio you can get - the AMD of speakers :)

I don't know what happened... I was playing DAoC and listining to some music this morning and all of a sudden I hear a pop and no sound. Tried hooking them up to my other computer and that was a no go. They are also too old to be covered under boston's warrenty, but they said they would fix em... for a price.

Anyway... any hot deals on a set of z560's?

I have the Z560's and as many have already stated - it's your best bang for the buck by far. I'm loving mine - i also previously owned the Klipsch 4.1's which are also very nice - but to me not $150+ nicer. If you have an Audigy card you'll be able to tweak the bass & treble as felt necessary - everything sounds phenominal when setup properly.

P.S. The subwoofer is incredible - but you need to tame it.

My roomate has the z560s that I recommended for him. Theyre good, but not as crisp as my Klipsch 4.1s... but for half the price its a tough decision.

i'd reccommend my speakers but they are not in your price range. (Klipsch ProMedia 5.1), so i'll reccommend the ProMedia 2.1. reason is: better, do you really have the space for all those surround wires going all over the place? and they're just amazing. how's that audigy platinumEx? if i ever upgraded my sound card from the Hercules Game Theater XP that's what i would get.
